Hey Batter Batter!

There's my big boy that plays T-Ball for LLYA's Texas Ranger.

We have just played our 3rd game yesterday. It's been so much fun. You can only image a team of 9 - Four Year Olds. It's so funny to watch. We are scheduled for a practice on Tuesday and then we have our next game on Thursday.

Benjamin is having so much and is doing such a great job. He got a "hit" off Coach Ken's pitch last Thursday and made it to 2nd base. How Awesome.

Yes I know it's been a while

Yes I know I have been a slacker on my blog. I have been soo busy the last month it's just nuts. We have had ball practice at least 2 times a week and then we had the monster truck show one weekend. Then we went on vacation 2 weeks ago to Disney and the NMRA Racing (Mustang thing). This past weekend was opening day at the ball field and I spent all day Saturday at the ball park and when I say all day I mean I got there at 7:30 AM and didn't leave until 7:30 PM - 12 LONG hours there. But it was fun and well worth it. Hopefully I will get the pictures of our vacation and the ball field down loaded tomorrow to share.

I'm going to try to keep up with this blog from now on.

Happy Valentines Day

I hope everyone out there has a happy and wonderful Valentines Day!

We don't have anything planned for the day for "us". I had to go to the ballpark today at 10:00 to help paint and then Benjamin had T-Ball practice at 1:00. Then we are heading to church around 5:00 and then I have no idea.

I also want to tell T. J. Happy 13th Birthday! I can't believe he's a teenager now. I have no idea where the last 13 years has gone.

1st T-Ball Practice is set..

It's tomorrow night at 6:30! WOO HOO - Wish us luck. He is on a team full of 4 year olds. I can't wait to take pictures and share

Benjamin is a Texas Ranger!

Benjamin has been assigned to his t-ball team. It's official he's a Texas Ranger! We are so excited, it would have been better if he was a NY Yankee! That's our baseball team of choice in our household.

We have our first practice this Saturday. Way to go Coach Ken, doesn't he know it's Valentines day. HA HA no not really it's okay since I'll be at the ball park anyway painting.

I'll be sure to post pictures after our practice...

What a cold week it was here in Jacksonville

We had freezing weather since Wed. morning. When I say freezing weather and Jacksonville I'm talking low 20's. Friday morning was the worse frost wise at our house. But it was cold and I don't like it. Someone needs to tell Mother Nature that this is Florida and we are ready for Spring/Summer. I'm ready to retire the sweaters and jeans and bring out the flip flops, capris and short sleeve shirts.

It's been some time since I've been here

I've been so busy with work, baseball field and being a mom.

Yes you read that right baseball field. Benjamin starts T-ball next month and I'm the new Public Relations Director at Lake Lucina aka LLYA where he will be playing ball. For the past two weekends I have spend all day Saturday and Sunday up at the park. We completely redid the T-ball field and it looks awesome. I can't wait for my baby to start playing and neither can he.

As far as work I've been training a new employee. She started 3 weeks ago and has tons of insurance experience I'm just training her on how we do things at our office. It's been great and fine just crazy only 'cause everything takes longer to do when your explaining and answering questions. But it's all worth it as she will be on my work "team" with Paula aka the "A Team" as we have been called.

I'm off now, but will try to be better at this. I'm heading to the craft store with my Mom so we can make some key chains and valentines things

It's Monday Already

I can't believe how the weekend just flew by it's now Monday again and it's back to work time. The only problem is this is the first week I will have had to work 5 full days in about the last month or so with all the holidays. This will be a LOOONG week I'm sure. And to top it off the kids all go back to school which means the traffic will pick back up to normal - so whens Spring Break? LOL really it's not that bad for me. I have to take Benjamin to my Mom's which is about 10 Mins. tops away and then drive to work which is another 10 mins top. I don't encounter much traffic.

It's off to work time... Post more this evening about the weekend... It was my birthday on Saturday and we went to Disney! FUN FUN...

Wii Boxing

So "Santa" brought our family a Wii for Christmas this year. We have been having a blast with it. Benjamin loves to bowl and to play his Monster Jam game. Now Joey and I on the other hand are having a blast with the Boxing. Let me tell you it gives you a work out you will not believe. I've told Joey we need to box at least 2 games a night every night.

Our big New Years Eve plans are to stay home, have friends and family over for appetizers and to play the Wii.

Our menu for the night is as follows:

Chicken Wings
Cheese Dip
Spinach Dip
Potato Skins
Cheese Sticks
Chips with dip and salsa
Ham Puffs

I'm not quite sure what is so happy about it. Maybe it's because I'm live, yeah that it. It surely can't be the fact that I have to go back to work after being off for 5 days and I know it's not the fact that I get to go do my Annual visit with the OB this morning at 9:00 am. So yeah it's the fact that I'm alive, I do have a job, I do have a house, a car, and a loving family - husband and son. So Happy Monday.

It's almost New Years Eve, do you have any plans yet? We do it's nothing major but you'll have to come back tonight to see my next blog to see what our plans are... I can tell you it's nothing like are New Years Eve 5 years ago. We were in NEW YORK CITY... That was awesome.

Mon - 12/15 - I had my SLIC (smart ladies investment club) Christmas dinner
Tue - 12/16 - Nothing a quite night at home
Wed - 12/17 - Christmas dinner with Joey's family for the cousins in town
Thur - 12/18 - Joey's 32nd birthday! - The late night call that Joey's Dad was sick and 911 had been called and our rush to the hospital with the breaking news that Joey's dad had passed away
Fri - 12/19 - Family making funeral arrangements
Sat & Sun - 12/20 & 21 - Family time
Mon - 12/22 - My Father in Laws funeral
Tue - 12/23 - A little normal time
Wed - 1224 - Christmas Eve - Mass and Joey's family Christmas dinner
Thur - 12/25 - CHRISTMAS - the whole day home
Fri - 12/26 - returning some Christmas items

So now you can see how busy I have been. It' nuts.. But hopefully things will start to settle down and I will post more. I promise...

Now it's time to start planning New Years Eve!

TGIF!

Boy oh Boy has this been one LONG week and I'm glad it's FRIDAY! I don't think I could do any more days at work. In case you didn't know, could care less or just forgot, I'm a Commercial Insurance Agent and Janaury 1 is, always has been and will always be on of the busiest times in the insurance world. Why you ask, what is so special about January 1. Well it's because over 50% of the business Workers Compensation policies renews. So I'm busy working on Work Comp policies as well as issuing renewal certificates. It's always crazy and for the most part it's hard to get into the Christmas "Spirit" but I'm happy to report that after next Thursday's appointment ALL of my January 1 renewals will be done. WOO HOO that's a whole week before Christmas and 13 days before the new year....

Any who, it's Friday and we have big weekend plans here. Were heading to DISNEY WORLD tomorrow. We are taking our two nieces and MIL with the 3 of us. We are just going for the day, but we have never seen the Magic Kingdom decorated for Christmas. I can't wait.

Then Sunday we have family in town and we are having a dinner after the Jaguar vs Packer game.

It's going to be a busy weekend again, but I'm hoping it's filled with lots of fun.

Family Pictures

So Saturday we had family picturs taken with Joey's family. There were 9 of us: Me, Joey, Benjamin, Joey's Sister Karla, her husband Charlie, their daughters Brianna and Kaitlyn, then Joey's Mom Kerry and his Dad Jerry. It was a crazy mess. We went to Portrait Innovations I love that place. They have taken all of my son's pictures since he was 1 (that's when they opened here). Saturday was crazy in there we had 12:00 appointment for 9 people. We got there at 11:45 for our 12:00 appointment, by the time we had the pictures taken, picked out the ones we wanted and paid the bill it was 2:45! Yes you see that right we were there for 3 hours. But that's not all.... we went next door to the Cheesecake Factory which is soooo yummy. So we ate lunch yes a late one.... Then went back at 4:45 to pick up our pictures and they were not ready, that's how busy they were. So we had to hang around for another hour to get our pictures. It was a long day but the pictures are wll worth it...

Happy Thanksgiving

I would like to take this time to let you know what all I'm Thankful for. I'm most thankful for my Family, my wonderful husband, my awesome son, my parents and all the other members of our family. I'm thankful for my friends, my house, the cars we have, the wonderful job both my husband and I have. I'm thankful to have a wonderful boss that gives us extra time off to spend with our family during this holiday season. The thing I'm mostly Thankful for is God because without him my husband and I would have nothing listed above. He is the way.
