Happy Thanksgiving

I would like to take this time to let you know what all I'm Thankful for. I'm most thankful for my Family, my wonderful husband, my awesome son, my parents and all the other members of our family. I'm thankful for my friends, my house, the cars we have, the wonderful job both my husband and I have. I'm thankful to have a wonderful boss that gives us extra time off to spend with our family during this holiday season. The thing I'm mostly Thankful for is God because without him my husband and I would have nothing listed above. He is the way.

I hope you all have a have safe, wonderful and Blessed Thanksgiving!

Saturday Activities

I'll just say I FROZE today. We ended up helping out at my MIL yard sale. It was COLD the wind was awful and COLD as all get out. I can't tell if my feet are still there are not they are that frozen.

I tried to sell some of Benjamin's baby toys but was not successful at all. these people wanted to only pay $ 1 an item for the incrediblock and a $ 1 for 2 sets of 6 Peek-a-Blocks. I just couldnt part with them that cheap.

It wasn't that great of a yard ssale I think MIL made around $ 100 but I guess that's not bad since it was so cold.

Mom Dot Blog Party Day 8! I'm finally getting able to start this.
Day Eight Blog Party Question is Brought to you by Koshas, Leapfrog and Soda Club.
Day 8's question is: Do you shop on Black Friday? What time do you start? Do you finish all your shopping on that day? What’s the best deal you have found? What’s your shopping strategy?
Yes I *LOVE* to shop on Black Friday. I love the thrill of getting a good buy and most of the time I'm just starting my Christmas shopping. I normally leave the house between 3 -4 it just depends on where I need to be first. I think this year I will be at Walmart by 4. I saw they have Ripsticks for $ 45.00 that day which is a savings of $ 45.00. Plus they will have DS and Wii games on sale.
No I will not finish all my shopping on Black Friday. I never have and I'm sure I never will either. But it is always a good "dent" into my Christmas list
I think one of my best deals was an MP3 player I got my niece a couple of years ago for something like $ 20.00.
I really don't have a shopping strategy at all except go in pairs or a group. Then you able to get more and you have a higher chance of all of you getting the things on your list.

** Happy Friday **

Yeah it's Friday. Only 8 hours of work and the weekend is here.. I think I will make it. Thought I would share this picture of a double rainbow. It was taken from the front porch of my house back in September some time. It reminds me that bighter things are just around the corner.
Weekend plans around is are as follows:
Tonight: We will just go to dinner and maybe stop and get a movie or something.
Saturday: Car swap meet in Moultrie, GA if Joey gets all the stuff done he needs to do for work today since our family emergency on Tuesday. If not then we may help is Mom out at a Yard Sale. Saturday night I'm thinking we will head to the MMJAX (mmjax.com)Show-n-Shine at Sweet Tomatoes on Wells Road.
Sunday: will be a relaxing day I have nothing planned. Probably will clean the house and get stuff ready for Thanksgiving and our Day trip to Disney. I'm thinking I'll have some energy and I'll cook some homemade sauce and make Italian for dinner.
Hope everyone has a great Friday and a Wonderful Weekend.
What's your weekend plans?

Big Thank you to my Boss...

Fitz at Cecil W. Powell & Company... He is closing our office Wednesday November 26, 2008 so all the employees have an extra day off at Thanksgivin. So we are getting Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and of course Saturday & Sunday... WOW 5 whole days off.

He gave us this great news on Tuesday when we had Bagels & Coffee with him. Thank you Fitz you are the MAN!

Just a little back ground. I'm a Insurance Agent in Jax, FL and have worked at Cecil W. Powell & Company for the past 12.5 years. I was 19 years old when I started there. They gave me a chance. When I walked in he door I didn't know much if anything about Insurance. I knew you had to have it and that was it. I started out doing the incoming and outgoing mail, answering the phones, filing, ordering MVR's and issuing Certificates. Now 12.5 years later I handle large commercial lines insurance policies for all types of insureds. I work for Russell & Fitz and they are both awesome to me. I love my job and I love my employer.

Again Thanks Fitz for the extra day at Thanksgiving. You have gone above once again. It just reminds me how bless I am to have a great employer!

5 Weeks from today is Christmas..

Holly COW! Where has the year gone. I can't believe it's already Christmas time again. I have started my shopping but haven't done a whole lot. I need to get busy my problem is I don't know what to get Benjamin. It's so hard he's 3.5 and wants to play baseball so bad. He wants Santa to bring him a Baseball Glove, Bat and Bat/Ball Bag... My problem is how do you know what size to get the Glove and Bat in if he is not there to "try" them out. These would be awesome present since (1) he wants them and (2) we get to sign him up for T-ball come January/February. I don't know who is more excited him or me.

So here's my question to you out there. What can I get my 3.5 year old son who is into: Baseball, Monster Trucks and Mickey Mouse..

Working Mom on the Go: Wordless Wednesday!

Working Mom on the Go: Wordless Wednesday!

Wordless Wednesday!

My Son Benjamin and my two beautiful Nieces Kaitlyn and Brianna! After the Children's Mass last year on Christmas Eve!

Merry Christmas!

I've been MIA for 2 Days now sorry...

Monday was back to work and my Monthly meeting of SLIC which stands for Smart Ladies Investment Club. It's an investment club for women. We meet on the 3rd Monday of the month, everyone throws in money with a min of $ 25.00 a month, we discuss stocks and then we buy them. Right now all the "GOOD" stocks are on Sell! Which I have yet figure out if that is a good thing or a bad thing. So that's why I wasn't here on Monday.

Tuesday I got a call from my husband around Lunch time that there was a Family Emergency with this aunt. So I had to leave work and help them. The energency was packing up her apartment and moving her out and she had to be out by 8pm. Boy that was a mess. Thank goodness for my Mom & Dad they kept Benjamin for us so we didn't have to worry about him. It was after 10 when we got home last night.

So that's where I've been and I'm gonna try to do better. I want to get involved on the Momdot Blog party. Maybe I'll be able to do day 6 tonight.

Have a great day everyone!

Disney World Here we Come

We are going to Disney World the day before Thanksgiving. WOO HOO I have the day off at work and have talked Joey into going. We bought annual tickets back in May and activated them Labor Day weekend. This will be our 3rd trip since then. I think we are also going to see if our Nieces want/can go. They have annual passes as well and school is out that day. It's great only living 2 hours from there. We will leave that morning sometime (the park opens at 9) and spend the day down there (they close at 11). I can't wait it will be all decorated for Christmas then.

Benjamin has been in LOVE with Mickey Mouse since our first trip there and that's all we watch on TV is the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.

When was the last... Taken from Momdot

When was the last time you saw a movie in a theatre?
We saw Madagascar last weekend. It was a cute movie. Benjamin, Joey & I had Popcorn and Cokes. I will say that AMC theaters has much better Popcorn then Tinseltown where we were.

When was the last time you had dinner without your children?
I can't remember the last time Joey & I went out to dinner without Benjamin. I'm thinking the next time will be the first weekend in December when we have our MMJax (Mustang Club) Christmas party.

When as the last time you bought yourself some new clothes?
Back in early October. I needed some shirts that were long sleeve or 3/4 legnth for work. I also bought a pair of jeans.

When was the last time you called a friend?
I called Wendy on Thursday after work. I've talked to other friends since then but I was returning their original call. I mainly call Wendy every day after work. Wendy's my Best Friend and my son's Godmother. She lives in Augusta, GA and we don't see each other all the time but we sure do talk. - Which we need to plan a trip I need to see her, her husband Jeff and their son Justin. We haven't seen each other since April.

When was the last time you relaxed?
Last Saturday. Benjamin and I did NOTHING. We stayed home all day. Joey had a few yards to do then he went out to our friend Joe's house to help put Jack's new motor in his Mustang. He ended up not getting home until after 11

When was the last time you baked something.
Its been a while. I need to make some cupcakes or cakes. I have everything to do it, it's just doing it.

12 Days til Thanksgiving

And only 13 days to BLACK FRIDAY ! WOW I can't believe it this year has flown by. What are your Thanksgiving traditions?

We normally go to my husbands Great Aunts for Thanksgiving Lunch. They always say we are eatting at 1 but in reality it's 2. I think this has to do with the fact that my MIL & FIL as well as other members of my husbands family can NEVER get to a place ontime. So I have learned that they say 1 (so) everyone will be there by 2. This kindof sucks only because my parents have dinner at 5. So bascially I just "pick" at my "in laws" so I can eat at my parents.

Some of you may not be aware of it but I'm an only child, so I always spend ALL of the Holidays with my parents. I'm their only child and Benjamin is their only Grandchild. On top the only family we have in Florida is My Aunt and Uncle along with their 4 boys who are all married and have kids of their own.

Now to Black Friday! I can't wait, I didn't go out shopping last year on Black Friday but I'm sure going this year. I will probably leave the house around 4 or so and meet with either my friend Melissa (Blog~What~Blog) or my friend Addie. I'm not sure if my Mom (Judie) will be coming out this year or not. But I can't wait I hope I'm able to find lots of presents for the people on my list. Although this year I'm really only wanting to buy for the kids in our family as well as our parents. If I could get my way that would only be: Benjamin (our son of course), our nieces and newphews: Brianna, Kaityln, Danielle, TJ, Justin, Hayden & Ali!

Saturday Morning

Now I know I don't have a "Normal" 3 year old Boy. It's Saturday morning and my son Benjamin is watching the "Monster Truck Jam" instead of cartoons. He's sitting here in the living room watchng the show we have recorded on our DVR while he plays with his Monster Trucks. He has the same toy ones doing "Free-style" on my living room floor as they are doing the real free-style on tv!
